Today, we have expanded our community outreach to eight free food distribution locations in the Greater Bangor Area, one of which is open each day of the week. Most of these are drive-up sites, but one located in-town Bangor is a walk-up site. We are blessed with the support of our local partners, Hannaford, Walmart, and Sam’s Club, as well as local farms and bakeries that provide consistent access to healthy and nutritious foods such as fruits, vegetables, bread, dairy, and desserts.

Each food pantry is considered a “fresh pantry” meaning the food is picked up the same day it is given out.

Each food pantry is staffed by caring volunteers who pick up the food at local supermarkets, unload the food at individual sites, where it is then packed into boxes and distributed to our clients.

Every box is carefully packed with the food on hand that day. The thought being that if there is something that isn’t appealing to one person that it can be “paid forward” to somebody else!

Through our collaborative efforts, we are helping our friends and neighbors put food on their tables and thus helping feed families experiencing food insecurity.
